Description: Ready Set Sing! & Arlingtones Weekly Rehearsal

We all sing. In the car, in the shower, at the pub. But many of us are unsure about our ability to sing in front of other people. The Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus wants to help you get the most beautiful sound possible from your voice with the confidence to perform. We love to sing – that’s why we do it and have for over 60 years.

This is the 2nd of 6 Tuesday evenings where we'll teach you all the skills and techniques that you need to experience all the fun of solo or group singing. The course will take about one hour each Tuesday night. You'll get a hands-on, group singing lesson with John Reece, Interim Music Director of the Arlingtones. You'll learn and practice techniques that will help you develop your skills and build your confidence as a singer. This program will benefit singers of any skill level. No experience or skills required; you don't even need to be able to read music. Everything is free, including the music, the learning materials, and worksheets.

Our Ready Set Sing program will meet from 6:45-8:00pm at Lubber Run Community Center for 6 consecutive Tuesdays.  Everyone is then invited to join the Arlingtones to perform their newly learned song at the Arlington County Fair!

You can always come and join us for any rehearsal to check us out.  Our weekly rehearsals are open for anyone to visit, but visitors should plan to participate by singing with us as much as possible.  Please let us know if you plan to attend so that we have sufficient music books available by emailing Erica at membership@arlingtones.org.
